The Recreation Foundation’s “BIG TEAM” met at Mountain View Golf Club for the now legendary Fall Ball on Friday, November 20th from 7 – 11PM. A social hour and silent auction were followed by a buffet dinner and dancing to “Smokin’ Mirror”. Some of the items auctioned off were tickets to sporting events, vacation homes, and the ever-popular front row seats for graduation at Hopewell Valley Central High School.

In 1999, recreation providers, municipal leaders, and school board members in Hopewell Valley met at a Recreation Roundtable convened by the Municipal Alliance. The purpose was to thank recreation providers for their commitment to positive youth development in Hopewell Valley and to determine how the Alliance could support their work as mentors for the community’s youth.

The result was an unbelievable collaboration to advocate and raise funds for needed recreational opportunities and facilities in the community. This year’s Fall Ball celebrated all that has been accomplished and highlighted exciting new projects on the horizon like the Teen Center, a turf field at Twin Pines, completion of the Lawrence Hopewell Trail and a new YMCA facility.

Thank you to all the Super-Stars who helped make this event great!
